Group Class Schedule

Currently Marie’s teaching group classes at the following places:

Senior citizen centers, retirement communities, hospitals, nonprofits, and corporate workplaces all can benefit from the breath-centered movement of yoga, which reduces stress and improves well being. Through UAB's "Aging Creatively" program, Marie has taught at Highland Manor, Fair Haven, AHEPA III Senior Apartments , Episcopal Place , Greenbriar at the Altamont , Villa Maria Manor Apartments , Presbyterian Manor and AHEPA Penelope Apartments .

Marie also leads mindful meditation workshops to improve focus and team building in the workplace. Contact Marie about scheduling classes.

Small Group lessons (2 – 4 max)

Maybe you enjoy gardening, running, cycling, or walking with friends. Why not share yoga together at your home as a warm up or cool down? Or instead of a book club, what about a yoga club? Marie will develop a yoga practice tailored to your interests. 

Private sessions

Is yoga completely new to you? Do you shy away from classes? Do you have specific health concerns that need special care?

 

Private sessions may be just the thing.  Marie will tailor a yoga practice to deepen your body awareness, explore where you might feel restriction or pain, and invite self-inquiry using the breath and gentle movement.

 

Whether you just want a lesson or two to get started before joining group classes or you prefer the comfort and personal attention of one-on-one instruction at home, Marie will begin right where you are.

Mindful Yoga for Riding the Waves of the Workplace

Would you like to cultivate a less reactive workplace culture? Build skillful relationships with colleagues and clients? Manage your stress levels and feel more job satisfaction?

 The ancient teachings of yoga go far beyond the physical practice, fostering a way of living skillfully in the world. Based on the Mindful Yoga program by Kimberly and Jim Carson of Oregon Health and Science University, this workplace series explores the foundations of yoga thru the lens of positive team building and professional development.​

This eight-week series offers an opportunity to cultivate a meditation practice, learn breathing techniques to reduce stress, and consider strategies for being less reactive and more in tune with yourself. Marie will highlight a different topic each week – the breath, stress and well- being, the mind’s story, emotions, pain, and fatigue. Participants will reflect on the topics in the context of their professional and personal experiences.
