Yoga for Persistent Pain: Riding the Waves - six-week series

The body tenses and grips, magnifying the pain. Gentle yoga –mindful movement, meditation on the breath, and deep relaxation – can shore us up to ride these waves of stress and sensation more skillfully. It can restore our trust in our bodies.

Each class will begin with 45 minutes of discussion and meditation followed by 45 minutes of gentle yoga postures. No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required. Participants will receive weekly handouts, meditation audio recordings, and light homework assignments to enhance the learning.
